Honey Fermentation and gift Workshop
1-3pm, December 5 at Espace Shanti, 200 Delinelle, St. Henri

honeyLearn all about fermenting with raw honey. Fermented honey and water is essentially mead—the alcoholic beverage of choice in King Arthur and Shakespeares’s time. But in this workshop, we will be using honey to create a lactic acid bacterial environment, like we did with salt brine in previous fermentation workshops. The price of the workshop includes a decorative (and functional) Fido jar filled with the local, raw honey ferment you will learn how to make yourself. You can enjoy it yourself or give it as a beautiful, healthful and sweet Christmas gift.

milkNutmilk Know-how
NEW DATES in the New Year

Does dairy leave you congested or gassy? Many of us are learning cow’s milk might not be the healthiest option out there. But neither are store bought nutmilks!

This workshop will teach you how to make your own fresh, healthy nutmilk. We’ll talk about the undesirable ingredients in the most popular nutmilk brands and the secrets these companies aren’t telling you. You’ll learn how to make thick, creamy coconut milk and almond milk that doesn’t taste like cardboard. We’ll talk about different ways to flavour and sweeten and what you can do with the nutmilk byproducts. You’ll leave with a jar of your own dairy-free, sugar-free, junk-free milk and tips and tools to make more at home.

Spaces are limited. It’s recommended that you register with Jenny via PayPal or a EMT to jenn.hardy@gmail.com
